SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting December 14, 2026. The newly introduced route will link Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport five times weekly. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This addition provides a direct UAE connection for northern Poland and broadens Air Arabia’s scheduled flight network within the country. Reservations for the new service are currently available through the airline’s sales channels.

Air Arabia sets December start for Sharjah Gdansk route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Poland links with five weekly Sharjah-Gdansk flights.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs from Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return, G9 0629, departs Gdansk at 8:50 p.m., reaching Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. For flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departures from Sharjah are scheduled for 8:15 a.m., with return flights leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All times mentioned are local.

Once the December flights are operational, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah. The airline currently services Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its base in Sharjah. Additionally, Air Arabia will launch four weekly flights to Katowice on December 17, 2026, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. This route expansion means that Air Arabia’s direct connections within Poland will now include four cities, extending beyond its current two.

Gdansk joins Air Arabia’s expanding Polish routes

The Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European network from Sharjah. Its destination list includes Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline also plans to add Frankfurt and Katowice to its roster. Gdansk offers a new destination on Poland’s Baltic coast, providing travelers from the Pomeranian region a direct scheduled link to the UAE via Sharjah.

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, stated that the airline is expanding its presence in Poland by adding Gdansk. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, highlighted the significance of the direct Sharjah connection for the Pomeranian region, noting that Sharjah serves as a transfer hub for flights to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport serves the wider Tri-City area, which includes Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other northern Polish communities.

Five weekly flights link Sharjah and Gdansk

The airline operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its route network. Bookings for the Gdansk route are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies. The schedule designates G9 0628 and G9 0629 for the Monday and Saturday flights. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights will operate as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. The five weekly rotations will provide nonstop service both ways between the two airports.

The debut of the Gdansk route on December 14 will precede the start of Air Arabia’s Katowice service by three days. With Krakow and Warsaw already connected to Sharjah, the new routes will bring the airline’s Polish network to four cities. Under the current schedule, Gdansk passengers will have five nonstop options each week in both directions. As of August 26, 2026, Air Arabia continues to list the December 14 launch date and the five-flight weekly schedule for the Sharjah-Gdansk route.
